Saarland Police have equipped their officers with Reveal body cameras in a bid to reduce violence and aggression towards them in the field.
Minister of Interior Klaus Bouillon (CDU) announced the move at a press conference last week after seeing positive results from their recent pilot. According to the stats recorded by the trial, the number of attacks fell against officers wearing Reveal body cameras, demonstrating the difference the technology can make for those who wear them.
In light of the findings, the Ministry of Interior has purchased 72 Reveal cameras to be distributed across officers around the force with the aim of reducing aggression further.
